One that got away! The unique National Bus Company M-type bodied Leopard is seen here behind Dunfermline's Lynebank Hospital whilst in the ownership of a non-psv amateur athletics group. It carries the front end from a Scottish Bus Group Bristol RE which would have carried the same bodywork. Its last PCV owner was Rennies, Dunfermline who had acquired the vehicle from Sports Tours, Littleborough in exchange for Plaxton bodied Ford R1014 LPK989P, new to Alder Valley. Rennies still maintained it for Pitreavie AAC, but it is fair to say it was 'tired' by this time and ineveitably went for scrap.

Dunfermline abbey, a Benedictine monastic complex, was founded in 1128 by David I of Scotland. There was an earlier monastery in the same location dating from ~75 years earlier.

St. Margaret was buried here, though this is not her grave marker.

Reformers sacked the abbey in March 1560. The nave of the church still stands but the monastic buildings are simply shells.
